On Sunday night, two African heavyweights, Nigeria and Tunisia, will clash at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the Round of 16 tie.

Nigeria will face Tunisia in the 2021 AFCON last-16 this weekend at the Roumde Adija Stadium in Garoua, following the conclusion of the Group stage matches on Thursday.

Nigeria finished top of Group D with 9 points, while Tunisia finished third place in Group F as one of the four best third-placed teams.

The kick-off is by 8 pm Nigerian time and will be televised on SuperSport and Sky Sports Mix.

The Super Eagles have won the AFCON three times in the past, while Tunisia have won it just once in 2004.

Both teams have met 20 times in the past. The Super Eagles won six, drew eight, while Tunisia won six.

Interim manager of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Augustine Eguavoen, is likely to feature the team that defeated Egypt 1-0 when his team faces Tunisia.

Potential starting XI for Nigeria: Okoye, Aina, Omeruo, Ekong, Zaidu, Ndidi, Aribo, Iheanacho, Simon, Chukwueze and Awoniyi.
