EPL: Rio Ferdinand reacts to Ronaldo's angry behaviour, hails Rangnick after Man United vs Brentford

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has hailed the club's interim boss, Ralf Rangnick for the way the German handled the situation after Cristiano Ronaldo was angered for being substituted.

The Portugal international stormed out of the pitch visibly angered and complaining bitterly after he was substituted for Marcus Rashford.

Substitute, Rashford, who was introduced in the 70th minute of the match, scored United's 3rd goal in the Premier League clash against Brentford.

With the win, United are now two points behind fourth-placed West Ham United, who they meet at the weekend.

Ferdinand has weighed in on the debate and praised Rangnick for his handling of the situation.

Ferdinand told BT Sport: "He's looking to score goals. 2-0 up and he's thinking I've got a chance to get up the goalscoring charts.

"You can see the disappointment but I thought that the manager handled it well. He spoke to him on the side and talked about the bigger picture.

"You've got a game in three days and so you can get your goals there."
