Champions League: Real Madrid react to new Round of 16 draws, slams UEFA

Real Madrid has reacted to the new Champions League Round of 16 draws.

The Los Blancos described the draws as 'shameful' and accused UEFA of 'lying' after they were paired with Paris Saint-Germain, according to ESPN.

The LaLiga giants were paired with Benfica in the first attempt at the draw and pleaded with UEFA to ensure that fixtures remained intact.

That was because Real Madrid and Benfica were paired together first in the draw and the incident that forced the draw to be voided took place after they had been pulled out.

However, UEFA disregarded Real Madrid's appeal and continued with a brand new draw which saw Carlo Ancelotti's men paired with PSG.

It means they will face their former captain, Sergio Ramos and former nemesis Lionel Messi.

Real Madrid will now face PSG in the knockout stage of a European tournament for the fourth time.

Recall that UEFA was forced to declare the Round of 16 Champions League draw void after a series of mistakes were made during the process on Monday morning.
