UCL: Rangnick compares Mason Greenwood with Erling Haaland

Ralf Rangnick has compared Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland with Manchester United's Mason Greenwood.

It was Rangnick that helped bring Haaland to RB Salzburg when he worked for Red Bull as head of sport and development.

The German was asked by reporters to compare both players after Greenwood's impressive display against Young Boys in the last game of the Champions League group stage on Wednesday.

Greenwood scored an acrobatic scissor-kick to put Manchester United in the lead against Young Boys on Wednesday night.

The young England attacker showed incredible technique with his goal in the ninth minute

"They are a different kind of striker," he said.

"Erling, for me, is a target striker, who can play as a single striker like a target man or together with another striker in a 4-4-2. I think Mason is more of a nine-and-a-half.

"He can play as a striker, he can also come from the wing, he can play together with another striker and he's very technical. Left foot, right foot.

Nineteen-year-old Fabian Rieder scored an outstanding equalizer as Young Boys capitalized on poor sloppy play.
