Manchester City are considering a shock swoop for Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, according to La Nacional.
The Premier League champions could move for the 33-year-old striker, when he enters the final year of his contract in June 2022.
City spent all of last summer trying to sign Harry Kane from rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Spurs chairman rebuffed all their efforts to sign the England captain.
Pep Guardiola's side were also linked with Cristiano Ronaldo, who has since returned to Manchester United.
City have played without a specialist centre-forward this season, with Gabriel Jesus's now coming off the right-hand side of a front three.
Bernardo Silva, Ferran Torres, Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden have also been deployed in the middle of that forward line in recent months.
Real will be reluctant to let Benzema leave, given his influence in the team under Carlo Ancelotti.
