EPL: PSG responds to Man United's move to poach Pochettino

Paris Saint-Germain have hit back at Manchester United over their interest in Manager, Mauricio Pochettino, ESPN reports.

The Paris side is angry over Man United's initial approach for Pochettino who is under contract till 2023.

Pochettino is Alex Ferguson's recommended first choice for United to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked on Sunday after a 4-1 defeat to Watford less than 24 hours earlier.

The Red Devils, who have the intention to appoint an interim manager for the remainder of the season, are said to have been given hope that Pochettino was open to moving to Old Trafford immediately.

The Red Devils therefore reached out PSG about the Argentine's availability but the French giants informed intermediaries that they have no intention of letting the Argentine leave.

However, the Argentine is said to be keen on moving to Old Trafford but unless he agitates for a move PSG will not let him leave at this moment in time.

The French club hold an interest in Zinedine Zidane, with the club's hierarchy aware that the Real Madrid legend could persuade Kylian Mbappe to stay at the club.

But Zidane intends on seeing out his year of sabbatical and would prefer to join a club at the end of the season.
