Ronaldo extends international record with 112th Portugal goal

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, extended one record and broke another as they thrashed Qatar 3-0 on Saturday.

The 36-year-old scored his 112th goal for his country and also breaking Sergio Ramos' record for most international caps won by an European player.

Ronaldo had broken Iran legend, Ali Daei's record of 109 goals last month.

And despite only playing 45 minutes of Portugal's friendly against Qatar, Ronaldo was still able to get on the scoresheet.

Ronaldo poked home from close range in the 37th minute at the Estadio Algarve to make it goal No 112 before being withdrawn at half-time.

Jose Fonte and Andre Silva added more goals in the second half.

Ronaldo has now earned his 181st international cap, more than any other European player in history.
