EPL: Rio Ferdinand reacts to Garry Neville's criticisms of Ronaldo

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has reacted to Gary Neville's criticism of Cristiano Ronaldo following the club's Premier League 1-1 draw with Everton over the weekend.

Neville had criticised Ronaldo for storming down the tunnel following Man United's Premier League 1-1 draw with Everton at Old Trafford.

He insisted that Ronaldo's reaction put 'immense pressure' on Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Recall that Ronaldo, who was visibly angry after Man United drew Everton on Saturday, stormed down the tunnel alone as soon as the final whistle was blown.

Reacting to the development, Ferdinand defended Ronaldo's reaction and said that you 'can't take emotion away' from players.

"I saw Gary Neville talking about Cristiano Ronaldo and saying he needs to be told about trudging off like he did," Ferdinand told the FIVE YouTube channel.

"But it's almost like saying we want to take away emotion, take away natural emotion.

"We [former Man United players] would walk off and be screaming our heads off loads of times."
