A young Manchester United fan has warmed the heart of the first-team squad with a touching letter to midfielder Fred.
Fred was the subject of alleged racial abuse during his side's win at local rivals Manchester City last weekend.
He was also struck by an object as he prepared to take a corner in the shameful incident.

Many have shown their support to the Brazilian but one 11-year-old fan went the extra mile to send his best wishes.
The boy, who is named Herman and is from Sweden, crafted an impeccable handwritten letter before posting it online over the weekend.
It read: "Hello! My name is Herman. I live in Bohuslan in Sweden. I'm a big Man United fan!
"Racism have not a place in football!! [sic].
The touching letter has done the rounds on social media
"I'm very proud how you tackled the racism in the City match. You have played very well in the games.
"Racists are only jealous and cowardly.
"Good luck in the future. Love from Herman, 11 years old. #AllRedAllEqual."
Herman's letter was later retweeted by Fred's teammate Marcus Rashford, who also tagged the midfielder in the tweet.
Rashford tweeted: "Love this from you mate."
A man, 41, was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order was released on bail at the start of the week.
Man City have joined voices strongly condemning the alleged racial abuse following the 2-1 win for the Red Devils.
After the game: "Unfortunately, we are still in a backward society. We still have to live with that in 2019.
"We are all the same regardless of skin colour, hair and gender. We came from the same place and we all go to the same place when it's all said and done."
