Harry Kane sets new Champions League goal scoring record ahead of Ronaldo and Messi

Harry Kane is now the fastest player to reach 20 goals in the Champions League after scoring a brace in Tottenham's 4-2 win over Olympiacos.

Spurs wrestled their way back into the match after conceding two goals in Jose Mourinho's first home game in charge.

Kane reached the 20-goal mark in 24 Champions League games, two fewer than Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero.

The England captain also beat the likes of Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Filippo Inzaghi and Mario Gomez who all played 27, 28, and 30 matches before hitting the 20-goal mark.

Kane now has six goals in this season's competition, one better than the five he scored in the last campaign.

The win saw Tottenham qualify for the round of 16 of the competition and will finish Group B behind leaders Bayern Munich.

The Lily Whites will be looking to continue their winning run under Mourinho when they host Bournemouth in a Premier League match at the weekend.

Spurs moved to tenth with 17 points on the log following a narrow 3-2 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium.
