Levante shock Real Madrid in entertaining La Liga fixture at the Bernabeu

Levante shocked Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu with a 2-1 victory, handing the European champions their third defeat of the season.
Los Blancos have failed to score in the last two games as they were punished by Levante captain Jose Luis Morales' menacing pace beat Thibaut Courtois in the seventh minute.
The away continued their impressive run as they stunned Real with a second goal as the referee pointed to the spot for a penalty after Raphael Varane handed the ball in the 18-yard box as Roger Marti finished it off to make it 2-0.

Madrid began the fight back as Marcelo rifled in one in the 72nd minutes after Karim Benzema cut back a low cross for the Brazilian.
Benzema was so unlucky as he should have made it 2-2 four minutes later but his right-foot shot hit the upright.
Mariano thought he had evened the scores after pouncing on a shot from Benzema but the referee's assistant flagged offside confirmed by the VAR.
Luka Modric also had a go at goal but his efforts agonizingly went wide as Real Madrid lost their third La Liga match of the season.
Levante's goalkeeper Oier was man-of-the-match as he made fantastic saves from Gareth bale, Lucas Vasquez to keep his side in the match.

The current European champions will be hosting Barcelona in the El Clasico at the Bernabeu in their next match as Julen Lopetegui's job hangs in the balance after just three months as manager.
