An unidentified 97-year-old woman, has reacted after she was violently raped in her home in Gadaka, Fika local government area of Yobe state.
It was gathered that the elderly woman was rape by a 35-year-old man identified as Mohammed Faruk. The woman who was violently raped revealed she hasn't had sex in 40 years, until the unfortunate incident.
The suspect allegedly beat her up, broke her two teeth before he finally had his way.
In a chat with newsmen at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Damaturu, the state capital, the victim said her rapist had invaded her home in February 2021 and violently raped her.
Confirming the incident to the newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, Dungus Abdulkarim, said the suspect has since confessed to the crime and has been arraigned before a magistrate court where he was ordered to be remanded in police custody.
